We are privileged to offer Chinese, French, Latin and Spanish at MICDS.  Each language is relevant and contains cultural, linguistic and global qualities that will help MICDS graduates be better equipped with the 21st century skills necessary to appreciate, work and interact with people all over the world.  

Students at MICDS take Spanish from Junior Kindergarten through grade six.  When entering the seventh grade, they select which language they wish to study in the Middle and Upper School.  The following is a flowchart explaining the graduation requirements in World Languages:

    The process for selecting a foreign language to fulfill the MICDS graduation requirement is one that requires much time and reflection. The World Languages Department deems every language offered to be meaningful and potentially useful throughout one’s lifetime.
