 | MICDS Summer Stock Theater New for 2012, MICDS is proud to announce a new theater camp for area teens interested in all aspects of live theater.
Camp Pegasus and Eliot Summer Academy are seeking new and experienced actors as well as those who are interested in the technical sides of the stage (lighting, sound, stagecraft, and stage manager, and crew).
Work with an experienced director and set designer to build a non-musical production in our newly renovated professional theatre facilities. There will be two performances on the final day of camp: a dress rehearsal for a live audience of Pegasus campers and other guests, and an evening performance for family and friends.
Daily acting workshops will challenge you to stretch your imagination, build your performance skills, and collaborate with your fellow actors. Though the focus is on the ultimate performance, there will be fun non-acting challenges and games designed to build a cohesive cast and crew.
All campers will be contributing to this ensemble performance. However, there are some experiences and opportunities that may differ depending on age level. We will divide our cast and crews in the following way.
Senior Company (entering grades 10-12) Junior Company (entering grades 7-12)
Casting decisions will be made by our director and may include auditioning. There may be some roles and crew positions that are reserved solely for Senior Company actors.
This three-week full/day experience will include lunch through the Pegasus food services and nurse care for health needs that may arise. Before care is $135 and Aftercamp is $180 for June 18- July 6, 2012.
All campers will receive a MICDS SUMMER STOCK 2012 T-shirt and a waterbottle.
Cost: $650 Dates June 18-July 6 9:00 a.m. - 3:05 p.m. daily (there is NO camp July 4th) Campers who wish to act in the final production need to attend camp on July 3 and 5. |
