Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Facility and Center for Community
MICDS recently announced plans to construct a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics facility and Center For Community on the Upper School campus.
The gift will be used to construct a new facility on the Upper School campus dedicated to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics facility will provide a stellar educational experience for our students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that will solidify MICDS as the premier academic secondary school in the greater St. Louis area.  Exposure to hands-on, inquiry-based collaborative learning in these disciplines will enhance problem-solving abilities and pique the intellectual curiosities of all students.  This facility will serve as a testament to our commitment to providing an exceptional teaching and learning environment, one that will help us attract not only the best and brightest students but a spectacular, world-class faculty as well.

The Center for Community will be an important, central facility addressing several critical needs. It will provide an auditorium that comfortably seats 800, allowing the entire Upper School community to gather formally on a daily basis to celebrate student achievements, showcase student and faculty talents, share community news, and engage in rich intellectual conversation with a variety of invited speakers. The Center for Community will also provide an informal, comfortable gathering space for students to come together, collaborate, and relax. We anticipate that The Center for Community will become the heart of the Upper School campus, a space that strengthens school spirit and a feeling of community among our students and faculty.
