After-School Activities Cancelled Due to Severe Weather

With strong storms in the forecast this afternoon, MICDS is canceling all after-school activities today, May 8. This includes all extracurricular activities and athletic practices and games, both at home and away. The Middle School ASAP program and Lower School Extended Day program are also canceled. Please make arrangements to pick up your children at our usual dismissal time today (3 p.m. for Lower School, 3:15 p.m. for Middle and Upper School). Campus will be closed at 4:00 p.m. Please note: the Band Concert scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled for tomorrow night, Thursday, May 9, with the 6th/7th Grade Band Concert beginning at 6 p.m. and the 8th Grade/Upper School Bands performing at 7:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Bernard Berry.

Calling all current and newly-enrolled MICDS families, faculty, staff, and alumni—join us for our second-ever MICDS Arts Fest on Friday, April 12! We are delighted to celebrate the Arts in this popular, creative tradition. Arts Fest 2024 promises to be full of performances and activities for you and your whole Rams family.

- Parking InformationParking is available throughout in Lot A and Lot C. Check out our Campus Map to note parking lot options in relation to the Arts Fest Map. Please note that parking along Carpe Diem Drive is blocked for the event.
- Food at Arts Fest
Dinner orders were accepted through Thursday, April 4. Pre-ordered dinners include a picnic dinner for four from Flik which has dollar roll sandwiches, Flik chips, fruit, veggies & hummus, and paintbrush Rice Krispie treats. These dinners will be available for pickup at the event only if they were ordered in advance by April 4.
Please note that regarding food, only a limited number of snacks will be available outside of the pre-ordered dinners. - Call for Parent VolunteersWe need your help to create an unforgettable Arts Fest for our MICDS community on Friday, April 12! There are 4 one-hour shifts available so you can still enjoy the event! More information and the sign-up can be found here!

- Thursday: TV Thursday (Dress like a cartoon character)
- Friday: MICDS Spirit Day
Middle School:
- Monday: PJ Palette Day (PJ Day with color wash)
- Tuesday: Top Artist Tuesday (Dress as your favorite musician or concert wear)
- Thursday: TV Thursday (Dress like a favorite character)
- Friday: MICDS Spirit Day
Upper School:
- Monday: PJ Palette Day (PJ Day with a color scheme)
- Tuesday: Top Artist Tuesday (Dress as a musician)

- A Note for Lower School Families
There will be no Extended Day on Friday, April 12. Please be sure to pick up your student(s) no later than 3:30 p.m. or join your student(s) for Arts Fest. Lower School students may not attend this event without a parent or guardian.

There will be no scheduled activities, clubs, athletics, or ASAP after school on Friday, April 12. Please be sure to pick up your student(s) no later than 3:45 p.m. or join your student(s) for Arts Fest. Middle School students may not attend this event without a parent or guardian.
