BOO! It’s Halloween at MICDS!

It was a BOO-tiful day at MICDS as students and teachers celebrated Halloween. Our Beasley friends arrived in costume and kicked off the day by singing spooky songs for their parents at a Lower School assembly. After the performance, they headed to Olson Hall for a parade (check out our fun parade video at the end of this article!).

Middle Schoolers, and their advisors, weren’t to be out-done. The 5th Graders celebrated with a party and students and teachers turned the halls of MICDS into a fun, colorful array of costumes. Advisors were also all wrapped as mummies by their advisories. Check out this video of Dr. Jody Marberry being wrapped as a mummy by her advisory!

Our seniors got into the fun with a lot of group costumes, including barnyard animals, the Avengers, doctors and patients, Toy Story and phone apps. Several groups performed skits for their peers, sending the crowd into laughter and cheers. The McDonnell Gym was rocking!

Also on October 20, MICDS Thespian Troupe 2958 woke before dawn, dressed as zombies and set up a water station for the GO St. Louis Halloween run. These dedicated theatre kids served over 6,000 runners and then cleaned the streets of Downtown St. Louis after the race. This is the fourth year that MICDS Thespians have volunteered for the race.

What a memorable Halloween for all!
