Early College News for the Class of 2020

Many members of the senior class at MICDS have been hearing exciting news from their colleges and universities of choice via the Early Decision and Early Action programs. The Class of 2020 matriculation results are impressive thus far — 33 of those who applied to their first choice school via Early Decision were admitted! MICDS students have been admitted to extremely selective schools such as Stanford, Brown, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Dartmouth, University of Chicago, Rice University, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, Washington University, Colorado College, New York University, Boston University, Tulane, University of Michigan and Wake Forest.

This is just an early start to our impressive Class of 2020 matriculation news, and there will be more good news in the months to come. Overall, 25% of the Class of 2020 already knows where they will be attending college next year.

The College Counseling team is busy supporting and assisting all students and families as they continue with this process through the end of the year. Along with their support is the insight of our MICDS alumni. Recently, college freshmen from the MICDS Class of 2019 gave current seniors advice about college.

As the college application process continues to unfold, let’s continue cheering on our seniors! Congratulations Class of 2020 on your hard work and successes thus far!
