National Latin Exam medalists

Middle Schoolers Achieve High Scores on National Latin Exam

In early March, our on-campus Latin students in 7th and 8th grade took the National Latin Exam (NLE). According to the NLE syllabus, the exam provides “an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge of Latin and the Roman world on a test consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions. The exam focuses on the student’s ability to read and comprehend Latin as outlined in the American Classical League’s Standards for Classical Languages.” Learn more about the exam here.

Middle School Latin Teacher Natalie Griffin reflected, “I am very proud of my students’ hard work and determination!  They join a long list of MICDS students who have earned honors on these exams over the years. The study of the Classics, particularly Latin, continues to be alive and well at MICDS.”

Congratulations, Latin students!
