Eloise Lurk ‘28 St. Louis Charity Horse Show Point Champion

Eloise Lurk ’28 recently competed in the St. Louis Charity Horse Show at the National Equestrian Center in Lake Saint Louis. For her class (Medium Pony Hunter) she took home the top prize as overall point Champion. In the individual events, she took four first-place awards, one second-place, and one fourth. She and her pony, Roxy, are very excited and can’t wait to compete again next month. Congratulations on a Ram-tastic weekend of competition, Eloise!

Jim Lohr Named Missouri Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Lower School P.E. Teacher, Head Track & Field Coach, and Girls Head Cross Country Coach Jim Lohr on recently being honored as an MSHSAA and National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSH) Missouri High School Coach of the Year in the Cross Country category. We are so proud of you, Mr. Lohr!

 

MICDS Named #1 Kids Heart Challenge School

The American Heart Association’s school-based program, American Heart Challenge™, recently unveiled their 2nd annual Hearties Awards which recognizes top volunteers, schools, and districts in Missouri for their support of 2020-21 AHA programs. MICDS was named the #1 Kids Heart Challenge School in Missouri thanks to the work of Lower School P.E. Teachers Jim Lohr and Sue Orlando. Thank you, Mr. Lohr and Ms. Orlando, for keeping our hearts healthy at #MICDS!
