Eighth Grader Interviews New York Times Bestselling Author

This was Jain’s reaction to having Gordon Korman, a New York Times Bestselling Author, as a guest on his show. « I have a Youtube channel called ‘Ric’s Book Reviews.’ I’m a huge book person, and I have made a lot of different videos. » Jain was thrilled to interview Korman, who has authored countless books that are very famous such as Restart. « This moment was surreal to me, seeing as Mr. Korman is one of my favorite authors, and it was a big deal for my channel. » Be sure to check out the interview below!

Boys Basketball Victory in District Semifinals

Postseason play for the Boys Basketball team is off to an excellent start with our Rams dominating Normandy on Wednesday, 76 to 29 in the Class 4 District 5 semifinals. Read the recap of the game on STL Today.

Game highlights included senior Jack Pronger’s 17 points, senior Nick Roper’s 13 points, and junior Brandon Mitchell-Day’s 12 points among a number of successful 3-pointers, free throws, assists, and rebounds.

As the number 1 seed, we’ll host Westminster tonight in the district championship game. Go Rams!

Girls Basketball in District Semifinals and Finals

The MICDS Girls Basketball team was in the news during their post-season play. In the Class 5 District 5 semifinal, STL Today shared a recap of how the team defeated Nerinx Hall, 46-37. Brianna Desai ’23 scored 17 points, Zaire Harrell ’22 scored 15, and Binta Fall ’23 scored 10 points for the team. On Thursday, they took home 2nd place in the district championships against Cardinal Ritter. Way to go, Rams!
