Student Standouts: Forsberg ’23, Moore ’23, Boys Swimming, and Girls Cross Country

Hannah Forsberg ‘23 Selected to All-Tournament Team

Congratulations to Hannah Forsberg ’23 for being selected to the Alton All-Tournament Volleyball Team last weekend! Hannah’s setting skills and leadership make her an excellent choice for the All-Tournament Team. Of the nine teams competing, MICDS placed 5th, and the entire team enjoyed playing in the weekend tournament. Way to go, Hannah and MICDS Volleyball!

Winston Moore ‘23 Key to MICDS Win

Winston Moore ’23 was recently featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for his achievements in the September 11 varsity football game against Westminster Christian Academy. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder scored four times to lead the Rams to a 49-14 win over Westminster. He found several ways to get into the end zone, contributing to the current MICDS record of 3-0. Way to play, Winston!

Boys Swim Takes 2nd Place

The Boys Swim Team recently took 2nd place at the Ladue Swimming Invitational. Lee Naber ’22 won the 200 Freestyle, and Jeffrey Ge ’24 won the 100 Breaststroke, respectively. Congratulations on great swims all around!

Girls Cross Country at the Forest Park Festival

The Girls Cross Country Team had a great day at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival held on September 11. Julia Ray ’23 took home the win for the varsity race with a 12-second lead and a time of 18:36.5. For others on the team, it was their first time racing in a 5K. Standout results for the first-timers include Katherine Royce ’24 with a 28:58, Addison Small ’25 with a 29:05, and Zara Khan ’25 with a 29:21.
