Varsity Girls Tennis Sparks #PlayforConnor Initiative

The MICDS’ Girls’ Tennis Team has chosen to dedicate their season to 15-year-old Connor and his journey with autism. Connor is the younger brother of MICDS #1 player, Caleigh McClain. By playing for Connor, the girls aim to bring perspective to their sport and raise awareness and financial support for autism programs in St. Louis.

This week, the team played against Westminster Christian Academy whose tennis team has also dedicated their season to raising awareness for autism. The two teams came together to honor both initiatives in an “Autism Awareness Match.” Coaches and players made short speeches to honor their joint efforts.

In addition, the Varsity Girls Tennis team is selling t-shirts to raise money for the initiative. Click here to learn more.
