Welcome to the COUNTRY DAY NEWS Web site!
This new, searchable information resource is free to alumni and other members of the school community. It consists of 1,763 issues of the NEWS published during the 75 years between the school's founding in 1917 and the merger with Mary Institute in 1992. Included are five "Codasco" news magazines which temporarily replaced the NEWS in 1920-21.
Whether you wish to look back at events when you were a student...learn more about a relative's days at the school...or relive a particular athletic contest, you can easily find the information you seek using convenient search features.
Be sure to make use of all these helpful tools — a "Quick Start Guide" explaining site basics; "How to Search", which offers more detailed instructions about using the site; and a Glossary of Terms ("Strange Terms, Simple Meaning").
This site was created by the St. Louis Country Day School Archives and the MICDS Development Office, drawing upon the Archives collections and contributions by alumni, faculty members, headmasters, and friends. It is believed that only a few issues may be missing, and we invite you to help us find these by clicking on Help Us Complete the Collection. The link provides a list of "known" missing issues and questions about whether others were actually published.
