Stay active this summer at one of our high-energy Rams Sports Camps! Athletes train closely with our top-notch MICDS coaches and some of our 350 student-athletes. Campers focus on developing skills and improving technique. All sports camps train in MICDS’ state-of-the-art athletic facilities for an even greater competitive edge. Rams Sports Camps offer a program for every athlete and give campers a taste of what it is like to play for #RamNation.
Camps are designed to provide the best possible instruction to help develop each individual’s skills and knowledge of the sport. Each camper will receive instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves both on and off the field.
* Rams Sports Camps are run independently by coaches and not by MICDS.

- Boys Baseball 2022
Boys Baseball Camp for 1st & 2nd Graders

Description for 1st-8th Grade Baseball Camps: This camp will focus on the fundamental game of baseball. We will set a tempo to ensure each athlete has the opportunity to display their athleticism while learning and growing their knowledge and confidence in the game.
Each camper should bring their own glove, helmet, and bat. If you do not have any of these items, please do not go out and make a purchase. We will have equipment to lend our campers. Each camper will also need to bring a water bottle.
Boys Baseball Camp for Freshmen Boys
- Who: Rising 9th-grade boys (MICDS only)

Description of Freshmen Boys Baseball Camp: This camp will give each player an opportunity to meet and learn from the coaching staff while going through a week of team practice. In addition, program values and expectations will be communicated with players and families. With the camp taking place in the summer, there is a great opportunity for conversation to take place in regards to balancing on-campus and off-campus training, development, and practice.

- Girls Baseball 2022
- Who: Rising 2nd – 8th grade girls
- Date: July 11 – 14
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Description of Camp: *Please note that this is a girls baseball camp. We will not learn softball or skills specific to that game.*

This girls camp is offered in a single-week format, as we anticipate having a smaller group of girls enrolled. However, the baseball staff at MICDS is prepared to expand, and regardless of enrollment numbers, we ensure individualized instruction and a fun atmosphere for athletes to learn the game. Boys Basketball Youth Camp
- Who: Rising 2nd-8th graders
- Dates: June 6-10, June 20-24, or July 18-22
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Description of Boys Basketball Youth Camp: Basketball Camp is a great opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of basketball and have fun while competing with players from around the St. Louis area.
Campers will be divided by age and skill over the course of the week. Fundamentals will be stressed daily with an emphasis on dribbling, passing, and shooting. All campers will participate in daily contests and games culminating in Finals Friday.
There will be a supervised lunch/rest break 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Lunch is NOT provided, though we will have a camp concession stand with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, Gatorade, and bottled water.
9th & 10th Grade Boys Basketball

- Field Hockey 2022
Champ Camp Field Hockey Camp
- Who: Rising 5th-8th graders
- Dates: June 6-9 (Monday – Thursday)

Champ Camp was founded in 1975 by National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame Coach Debby Watson and has been providing excellent training and lasting memories ever since as it moved to the MICDS campus under the direction of Lynn Mittler. The camp is structured on the principles of instruction and play offering players a great opportunity to be coached by top high school coaches and current college players. A mix of technical training and scrimmaging allows players to learn and try out their new skills. Utilizing the field dedicated to the exclusive use of women’s field hockey, campers train on our water turf field to facilitate the speed of skill execution on an optimal surface.
Please bring: water bottle, mouthguard, shin guards, sunscreen, stick (additional sticks will be available for use during camp), and turf or running shoes only (no cleats).

2022 Rise Above Football Camp
- Who: Rising K-8th Graders
- Date: June 13-16 (Monday-Thursday)

Description of Camp: The Rise Above Football Camp is a non-padded youth football camp with a focus on instructing the individual of specific fundamentals of football, position-specific training, and how it is integrated into limited-contact 7-on-7 and team play. The Rise Above Football Camp offers youngsters in grades K-8 a great opportunity to be coached by one of the top high school coaching staffs in the state, Hall of Fame Coach(es), along with past and current MICDS players. The student-athletes will be separated by age and ability to create positive learning settings for each camper. A mix of technical training and scrimmaging allows players to learn and apply new skills. The campers will train on field turf to facilitate the speed of skill execution. The objective of the Rise Above Football Camp is to provide excellent training for each participant.
Please bring: Mouthguard, water bottle, sunscreen, stick, and tennis shoes or cleats for the O’Hara/Holtman game field or Ellis practice field.

Project Missouri Youth Lacrosse Academy

Description of Camp: MICDS, the 7 time defending State Champions in boys lacrosse, is excited to welcome students in rising K through 8th grade for a week of skill development, small-sided games, and scrimmaging. Led by MICDS Hall of Fame Head Coach Andy Kay, his staff, and former players, attendees can expect to leave each day with a love for the game of lacrosse and a genuine connection with the coaching staff. This camp is for new and veteran players!
Please Bring:
- Rising K through 2nd grade: No pads needed! Just bring a stick and a mouthguard.
- Rising 3rd to 8th grade: Stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves.

Rams Soccer Academy
- Who: Rising 5th – 12th graders

Description of camp: Rams Soccer Academy provides an opportunity for players to develop fundamental skills and decision-making through technical training and game-oriented play. Players will receive high-level instruction from the current MICDS coaching staff along with former/current college players. Our coaches take an individualized approach to help campers of all abilities improve their skills.
Please bring: Water, soccer cleats, and shin guards. We will provide soccer balls, goals, and all other materials needed for camp.

Middle School Squash Camp (Morning or Afternoon Camp):

Description of Middle School Squash Camp: Squash camp is great for those who want to improve their technique or simply explore a new sport. Camp focuses on the introduction and reinforcement of the basics as well as strengthening abilities in advanced play. Typical days involve warm-ups, demos, match play, and instruction. Training includes grips and drops, swing mechanics, court movements, and more. Players of all playing abilities are welcome and will receive instruction tailored to their level.

Description of High School Squash Camp: The high school squash camp offers an intensive and fun squash training week for players of all skill levels. Whether you want to sharpen your skills, focus on specific techniques, or improve your match play, you will get a personalized squash experience that will improve your game. From brand new players learning the game to advanced athletes, all players are welcome at the High School Squash Camp.

- Boys & Girls Tennis 2022
2022 High-Performance Tennis Camp at MICDS
- Who: Rising 3rd – graduating 12th grade
- Dates: May 31 through August 4 (Tennis camp registration is per week. See specific dates below)
- Times: 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday with a Friday make up day for rain
- Location: MICDS Tennis Courts
- Cost: $350/week
Description of camp: Coaches Cameron Thomas, Patrick Huewe, and Carl Walker have combined coaching experience of more than 60 years and are USPTA or USPTR certified. Coach Huewe is a former college Division 1 tennis player and has led MICDS tennis teams to several State Championships. Coach Thomas is also a former college tennis player and a Division 1 college coach, and he has coached State Champions, National, and Professional Players, and is on the coaching staff at MICDS. Coach Walker is a graduate of the tennis-teaching program at Tyler Texas, he has coached college and high school tennis, and he has coached State Champions and National and Professional Players.

Enrollment Policies
- Enrollment Policies & Payment
- Programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The full payment is due for each camper upon enrollment. A camper will not be enrolled and a spot is not guaranteed until full payment is received.
- Payment can be made via credit card or an electronic funds transfer e-check/ACH payment.
- For questions about payment, please contact the Rams Sports Camps office (contact information listed at bottom of page).
- Refund Policies
- Refunds are available through March 2022 minus a $25 service fee per camper, per session.
- During April and May, a $50 fee per session per child is applied to refunds.
- Beginning June 1, there are no refunds.
