In between MICDS Holiday Basketball Tournament games on Semifinal Night, MICDS hosted a 15-minute exhibition game with players from West County Special Olympics. This is the 19th year that MICDS has hosted the game with all proceeds from the tournament donated to Special Olympics Missouri. The night of the tournament resulted in over $800 in cash raised alone, and overall, the tournament ends up raising thousands of dollars for the organization.
Semifinal Night is described as one of the greatest nights of the year by Assistant Athletic Director Marshall Newman, who also provided commentary during the game. It’s a night when the MICDS community and other St. Louis area schools come together to get behind a great cause.
