Marketing Club students gathered this week to hear from digital marketing expert Clayton Clark of Big Rush Marketing about advertising in the digital world. In a packed presentation sprinkled with pop quizzes and hands-on learning opportunities, students learned that Google had the highest revenues for advertising last year and that a company can buy an ad for as little as one dollar. Mr. Clark also demonstrated how to create targeted Facebook and Instagram marketing campaigns for specific audiences based on input from the students and fielded a number of great questions from the club. His talk spurred a lively discussion about the future of digital advertising and potential data privacy challenges.
