Last Friday was the 100th day of school for the 2018-2019 school year at MICDS, and Senior Kindergarteners celebrated with both age-old and new traditions! Per tradition, the SK teachers dressed up as 100-year-olds to honor the notable day. Including everyone in the fun, the teachers used a photo-editing tool to add wrinkles to the headshots of their Beasley students. If only you could have seen how the SKers reacted, envisioning themselves as centenarians. If you pass through the Beasley hallway, you can’t miss the photo wall. It’s right under the question, “What does 100 look like?” and is surrounded by ziplock bags of familiar items in quantities of 100 (m&m’s, balloons, paperclips, etc.).
In the middle of the day, Zero the Hero even came by for a surprise visit! “He had been leaving notes all year on the days that ended in 0,” shared Senior Kindergarten Teacher Ghada Ead. With crowns atop their heads and full of curiosity, SKers were overjoyed at celebrating 100 days with him. “How old are you?” they asked.
“Zero, of course!” replied the hero.
The Beasleys finished out the festivities by playing games to go along with the 100th day. What a happy 100th day of school!
