Jeffrey Rush ’92 Speaks at this Year’s Erik L. Bond ’77 Lecture

The Erik L. Bond ’77 Lecture was established to remember Erik Lyons Bond, Country Day Graduate of the Class of 1977.  He was the first African American graduate to complete all eight grades at St. Louis Country Day School. On the occasion of their 25th class reunion, the class of 1977 established the Erik L. Bond ’77 Endowed Lecture Fund in 2002.

The Bond Lecture, which happens in February, allows for noted speakers who are African American to come to campus to share and encourage students, faculty, and parents to reflect on the value of life.

This year’s speaker was Jeffrey Rush ’92. Rush has the added distinction of being the first virtual Bond Lecture speaker. He also was available in a Zoom room after the presentation to answer any questions from students and faculty. Watch his presentation below!
