43 Latin Students Shine on National Latin Exam

MICDS Latin students in seventh through twelfth grade took the National Latin Exam in early March. According to the NLE syllabus, the exam provides “an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge of Latin and the Roman world on a test consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions. The exam focuses on the student’s ability to read and comprehend Latin as outlined in the American Classical League’s Standards for Classical Languages.” Learn more about the exam here and check out how our students scored below!

There’s so much for our 43 Latin students to be proud of! “The National Latin Exam exists to help students track their proficiency and celebrate their achievements in the language and the ancient cultures it gives us access to,” explains Upper School Latin Teacher David Armstrong. “Our MICDS Latinists have much to be proud of on both fronts!”

Thank you to Middle School Latin Teacher Natalie Griffin and Mr. Armstrong for all of the wisdom you’ve shared with these students and the entire Latin program here at MICDS. Congratulations, Middle and Upper School Latin Students!
