BOO! Surprise #OperationPumpkin Promotes Fall Fun in Beasley

Over the weekend, Lower School Chairs and Vice Chairs along with a few other parent volunteers from every Lower School class fanned out across the region to deliver surprise pumpkins and decorating kits to every Beasley student. These incredible MICDS parents and guardians made deliveries from Ladue to Belleville, from Wildwood to Arnold, from Chesterfield to Bridgeton, and beyond—Beasley students live in exactly 40 different zip codes! Deliveries were contactless and the theme of the gift bags was Ram Spirit and Fall Fun.

Each gift bag included a pumpkin, school color-themed paints, a paintbrush, a Ram stencil, and a poem inviting the recipient to decorate their pumpkin creatively and with Ram spirit-focused designs if they so chose. Families were invited to share their decorated pumpkins on social media using #MICDSFallFun.

Thank you to Heidi Lowrimore Gorham and Amy Cabbabe, co-lead volunteers for this activity, and to Hanna Tepper Taylor and Leah Eggers for helping make this happen! In total, an incredible 212 pumpkins from Theis Farms were delivered.

The pumpkin kits brought smiles to all of our Beasley families. “Amina H. ’32 enjoyed painting her pumpkin and baking her pumpkin seeds,” shared Amina’s mom.

Another 1st grade parent echoed this sentiment: “The kids couldn’t be happier. Jonathan Q. ’32 said he loves MICDS soooooooo much!”

Thank you to all who helped make this #MICDSFallFun effort a glowing success! What a gourdgeous, happy autumn it is in Beasley and throughout all of MICDS!
