The MICDS Classroom
The MICDS One-to-One Program
Launched in August 2008, the School's one-to-one program is expanding the possibilities of learning. The mobile computers are enhancing the range of instructional strategies for our faculty, providing students with easy access to a wider range of information sources, and allowing students to process and present that information in more efficient and effective ways. It's also permitting the extension of further learning outside the classroom by providing students with 24/7 access to the global community.

One-to-one enhances the School’s ability to maximize our students learning potential and to expand their horizons. Using a standard computing device, the TabletPC, ensures all students have access to the same equipment and software, and that the School can operate and maintain student computers more efficiently. The TabletPC has all the functionality of a traditional laptop and allows users to draw, write, and manipulate the computer using a stylus as well as a mouse. The flexibility for using either stylus or keyboard accommodates the varying needs and preferences of both students and teachers, and the ability to annotate and draw electronically enhances classroom work and assessment.
