WWT’s STEM Student Forum Hackathon Kicks Off

Yesterday was the kickoff event to World Wide Technology’s STEM Student Forum Hackathon for many local high schools. MICDS participants were introduced to the mission of the program:

In a world that is more connected than ever before, how can STEM be used to foster meaningful human connections and positive social change within your school communities?

They also learned more about World Wide Technology, met their WWT mentors and had an ideation session to formulate ideas for the competition. The team of nine Junior and Seniors will work for the next five weeks to solve a problem and present their solution. They will be competing against the other schools to provide the most innovative solution to a problem and positively impact the community.
