What adds to the well-rounded culture of Upper School student life? Clubs and activities, of course! Club Fest 2025 offered a diverse range of activities for students who filled Hermann Courtyard, Founder’s Court, and Danforth Square, with club co-heads sharing their enthusiasm for their passions, while others learned about opportunities from their peers.
Director of Upper School Student Leadership & Dean of Students Nicole Trueman-Shaw said, “This was the biggest Club Fest yet with 65 clubs working the crowds. We saw the return of live music on the patio courtesy of student band Three Nights Ago, featuring Lola Compton ’27, Cam Cozad ’27, Avery Brooks ’27, and Justin Karam ’27, as students walked around learning about clubs and enjoying the perfect weather.
“Club sign-ups were more efficient than in previous years thanks to our new club management app, FeatsClub. For the one-hour event, we allowed students to use their phones to scan QR codes that led right to club pages so students could join clubs on the spot.”
Students were able to explore interests in the arts, career paths, community service, identities and affinities, business, and more. From Aviation to Women in STEM, fishing to pickleball, and investing to Model UN, there was something for everyone.
The beauty of the student activities program at MICDS is that each club, while moderated by an adult, is driven entirely by student leadership and participation. Even with 65 offerings, the door is open for students to join multiple clubs, creating new opportunities, engaging in their interests, and finding like-minded peers to learn and grow together.
We are amazed by our talented students and the clubs they form. Great job building community, Rams!
