It’s been a lively and full fall for our MICDS families! Between sports, school commitments, and busy schedules, it’s always refreshing for parents to take a moment to connect and kick back. Beloved traditions like the Beasley Bash, Dads Club events, and parent parties offer the perfect opportunity—bringing parents together for fun, friendship, and community.
Dads Club Homecoming Event
Over the past few weeks, parents and guardians have gathered for a variety of activities—from pickleball matches and Mah Jongg afternoons to cozy coffee meetups.
The Class of 2030 dads hit the pickleball courts for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition, while the Class of 2030 moms enjoyed a lovely Mah Jongg and Mimosas-themed get-together at Westwood Country Club. A big thank you to Sarah Plaskett P’30 and Paige Noel P’30 for planning such creative and engaging opportunities for MICDS parents to connect.

Meanwhile, Class of 2029 parents and guardians gathered for a warm and welcoming morning of coffee and class bingo at Deer Creek Coffee in Ladue hosted by Siara Montgomery P’29 and Kristin Akin P’29.

A great time was had at the Class of 2028 Fall Parent Party in October. A huge shout-out to hosts Jess Brown P’28 & ’32, Jennifer Biswell P’28, and Dorothy Bell P’28 & ’31 for treating sophomore parents and guardians to “chips, dips, and sips.”

“These parent parties and meetups throughout the year are a cornerstone of our community,” says Parents Association (PA) Vice President of Parent Activities Lauren Fries P’36 & ’37. “Through them, our parents build friendships and support networks that strengthen the MICDS experience for both families and students.”
And the fun keeps coming! The upcoming Jingle & Mingle event on December 2 at 4:30 p.m. is another wonderful way we celebrate the season and our PA community. Parents and guardians, be sure to mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss it!
