Photographs by Four Rams Make Beginnings 2025 Exhibit

Congratulations to our four Rams—Layla Gilbert ’26, Lucy McKean ’28, Eliyah Powell ’28, and Caroline Brauer ’29—whose photographs have been selected for the Beginnings 2025: Juried High School Photography Exhibition List at Webster University! According to Gallery Director Kristina Richards, “Over 700 images were submitted from 34 local schools, making this our most competitive exhibition to date. Our jurors, Professors Mike Long and Natalia Kaniasty, reviewed every entry with exceptional care, giving close attention to technical control of the camera, framing, focus, use of light, use of color, choice of subject, and narrative storytelling. The final works chosen represent the very top tier of entries—those that, in the jurors’ judgment, best demonstrated both technical excellence and compelling visual narrative.”

Be sure to visit the exhibition from Friday, December 5, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. through Saturday, January 31, 2026. The opening reception is Friday, December 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kooyumjian Gallery at Webster University. See the photographs by our students below!
