Board of Trustees Campaign to Honor Jay Rainey a Success

It is a time-honored school tradition to commemorate each outgoing Head of School with an official portrait. Jay Rainey’s portrait was unveiled at Arts Fest this past spring, offering a meaningful opportunity to reflect on his extraordinary leadership and lasting impact on our school community.

Just as the portrait captures Jay’s presence in our halls, the Board of Trustees invited the MICDS community to help cement his legacy through a project close to his heart. In recognition of Jay’s service, the Board of Trustees established a special fundraising challenge benefiting the Beasley and Beyond Lower School Renovations Project. All gifts made in Jay’s honor were matched dollar for dollar, up to $75,000. The goal for the campaign was $150,000.

We are pleased to announce that our community responded with its usual generosity and commitment to MICDS! We exceeded our goal, raising $160,455 for the Beasley and Beyond Lower School Renovations project! We are filled with gratitude for this outpouring of support.
