Alumni and families are invited to join the entire MICDS community for our special Homecoming weekend, which celebrates cherished traditions both old and new and offers something for all ages! It’s a perfect time to visit campus and enjoy fantastic sporting events as the MICDS Rams take on the JBS Bombers. Go Rams!
Get ready for Homecoming by stocking up on MI, CDS, and MICDS spirit wear from our Campus Store! Take advantage of online shopping before Homecoming or visit the Store when you’re on campus on Saturday, September 26 (Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
General Events
Homecoming Weekend Highlights
Please note: Lower and Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult at ALL Homecoming events and athletic contests that are outside of school hours. Children may not be dropped off. While we welcome everyone in our community to attend, several areas on campus are extremely dark after sunset. Please do your part to keep our children safe.
Pep Rally*
Friday, September 25, 1:45 – 3:15 p.m.
Location: Holtman Stadium
*Student Event Only
All students from Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade will gather together at Holtman Stadium for the annual full-school Homecoming pep rally. They’ll cheer on each Upper School athletics program, show school spirit as they compete in fun contests, and get ready to cheer on the Rams all weekend.
Food Truck Friday**
Friday, September 25, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
(Food Truck sales end promptly at 7:30 p.m.)
Food Truck Location: Back service road behind the MAC
Parking: A & C Lots
**Reminder: Please bring your own filled water bottle if you do not wish to purchase a drink from the food trucks.
Enjoy dinner on campus before the bonfire at Food Truck Friday! A variety of food trucks (e.g., Blues Fired Pizza, Cajun Kitchen, Homestyle Grill, Mr. Gonzo’s Tacos, and more) offering dinner and dessert will be available. Please bring payment for food and beverage purchases, and don’t forget to bring a picnic blanket! Also, please help keep our campus clean by disposing of your trash after your picnic.
Bonfire
Friday, September 25, 7:30-8:00 p.m.
Location: Bonfire Field
Parking: C Lot off of Ladue Road
This event will occur rain or shine.
The traditional lighting of the bonfire kicks off the weekend full of cheering on your favorite Rams teams! The festivities begin with the annual parade of bagpipers, football players, and cheerleaders, before culminating with a glowing bonfire.
MICDS-JBS Family-Friendly & Free Fun Run
Saturday, September 26
7:30 a.m. Registration check-in
8:00 a.m. Start
Locations: Begins at MICDS’ Founders’ Court/Tschudy Gates and ends at JBS
This event will occur rain or shine.
The day’s festivities begin with a 2.5-mile family-friendly walk, run, or stroll from MICDS to JBS. All runners, walkers, strollers, wagons, scooters, and dogs are welcome! Dress in your spirit wear and even decorate your scooter, wagon, stroller, etc.! A complimentary shuttle will pick up participants from JBS and transport them to MICDS’ Founders’ Court/Tschudy Gates at the end of the race. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the race starts at 8 a.m. Fun Run spirit items are available at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.
MICDS Homecoming Carnival & BBQ
Saturday, September 26, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Location: The MAC
Calling all MICDS families! Bring your kids (of any age!) to an entertaining and free event that features games, prizes, face painters, balloon artists, and inflatables. Enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch (while supplies last) from 12:00-1:30 p.m. on the north patio of the MAC. Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a meal on the Beasley Playground or on the available natural grass fields. Please help keep our campus clean and dispose of your trash after your picnic.

JBS Campus – All Varsity Games
Throughout the weekend, athletic contests are scheduled against JBS, including the annual football rivalry at 2 p.m. on Saturday at JBS. Varsity contests will be played at JBS, and all other games will take place at MICDS. Come out and cheer on your Rams! Follow MICDS Athletics on Instagram to stay in the loop.

On both Friday and Saturday, parking is available in A Lot and C Lot.
On Saturday only, the Lindbergh Gate (near #33 on the Campus Map) will be open all day for all non-varsity athletics on campus as well as the BBQ and Carnival. Please note that shuttle service does NOT go to the Lindbergh Lot, so anyone requiring shuttles will need to park in A or C Lot.

The Activities Committee, led by Ezra Ewald ’27 & Priyasha Munshi ’28, invites all Upper School students to the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 26. This “Masquerade Ball” will be at MICDS in Founders’ Court and Hermann Courtyard, and students will park in A Lot. The attire includes dresses, skirts, nice tops, nice/dress shorts, khaki pants/slacks, collared/button-down shirts, etc. Comfortable shoes are highly encouraged (including sneakers/casual flats). Masquerade masks are welcome, and the Activities Committee will have some to distribute as well as a decoration station for interested attendees.
Students bringing a guest from another school should complete and submit a guest permission slip by Thursday, September 24. The evening begins at 8:30 p.m. All students and their guests must arrive by 8:45 p.m. and will be checked in upon arrival. The dance ends at 10:30 p.m. Students will not be able to depart the dance until 10:15 p.m. There will be a DJ spinning tunes selected by the students, snacks, and many opportunities for great photos. The Activities Committee is excited to provide this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing Upper School students on Saturday, September 26.
