Board Chair Bill Polk `74 and Vice Chair Michelle Cohen `88 gave a “State of the School” address to the MICDS community Thursday night at 7 pm in Brauer Auditorium. During the presentation, they reviewed a number of the central academic, student life, and financial aspects of the School.
Topics covered included the School’s strong and upward academic performance trends over the past number of years, college placement data, extracurricular and athletic programming successes, the MICDS budget and financial condition, endowment performance, updates on key performance goals of the 2015-2022 MICDS Strategic Plan and insights into Board priorities for the 2017-2018 academic year. Polk said, “We have much to celebrate as an MICDS community. Our students are performing at very high levels academically, athletically, and artistically. Our college matriculation results are one great indicator of that success.”
