During Thursday’s annual Day of Caring in the Upper School, 9th and 10th graders heard from Tina Meier, Founder and CEO of the Megan Meier Foundation on anti-bullying (with a social media focus), community building and what it means to be an upstander. Juniors spent the day at Camp Wyman, participating in team-building activities. Seniors engaged in community service activities to deepen their understanding of the experience of our neighbors throughout the St. Louis community. A group of MICDS seniors worked with students at Dewey International Studies School to clean up the Dewey garden to get it ready for Fall planting. In addition, a small group of seniors attended the Project 99 Leadership Conference, which addresses the effects of social media on leadership.
