Reunion Weekend Update 2020

March 18, 2020

We are, as always, committed to the health and well-being of our community. Given the recent guidance from the CDC on limiting the spread of COVID-19 at large gatherings, MICDS has made the difficult decision to cancel Reunion Weekend 2020. For additional information, please see this message that Head of School Jay Rainey sent to current families on March 18, 2020.

The Alumni and Development office shares your disappointment. Since last spring when we began planning and preparations for these events, we have been eagerly looking forward to welcoming you back to campus to celebrate your milestone reunions.

We are deeply grateful to all of our Reunion Volunteers who have worked hard for many months to plan a festive weekend for their local and out-of-town classmates, and who have spearheaded Reunion Class Giving efforts. If you have already registered to attend your class Reunion and have made a payment, we will be issuing refunds. The Alumni and Development office will handle this for you in the coming weeks.

We ask for your continued support and patience as we face these new challenges and work together as a School to ensure the well-being of our alumni community. Rest assured, we are exploring ways to celebrate our 2020 Reunion Classes and will share our plans as soon as they are in place. Thank you for all you do to keep our alumni community strong as we move forward despite the disruptions to our School community.

With much gratitude and wishes for good health,

Louise Jones and Elizabeth Moore Coulter ’08
