The MICDS Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team had another tremendous season, finishing with a 19-2 record and staying undefeated against Missouri competition for the second consecutive year. The Rams held a 288-83 scoring advantage, with 15 wins seeing the Rams outscore their opponents by 10 goals or more. The Rams defeated Marquette in the State Championship 20-7 to bring home their fifth State title in six years.
Mollie Schmid ’18 had a stellar year, recording the second most points in state with 66 goals and 45 assists. Olivia Proctor ’19 also had a tremendous season, finishing 4th in State in points with 66 goals and 37 assists. Jennifer Williams ’18 dominated the area in draw controls with 149 total while also contributing 64 goals and 26 assists. Schmid, Proctor and Williams along with Lou Chalfant ‘18 were all selected for both First-Team All Metro and the MSLA All-State team. Brooke Wright ‘18 was also selected for First-Team All Metro. Williams, Proctor and Chalfant earned even more individual accolades with Williams and Proctor awarded U.S. Lacrosse All-American Honors and Chalfant awarded U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic honors.
