Alumni and families are invited to join the entire School community for this special weekend, which celebrates cherished traditions both old and new and offers something for all ages! It’s a perfect time to visit campus and enjoy great sporting events as the MICDS Rams take on the JBS Bombers, renewing old acquaintances while making new ones. Homecoming Weekend Highlights
Food Truck Event
Friday, September 27, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Service road between athletic fields & tennis courts
Parking: C Lot
Enjoy dinner on campus before the pep rally at the Food Truck Event! A variety of food trucks featuring dinner and dessert will be available. Please bring cash for food purchases. Also please note, the MICDS food service will not grill hamburgers and hot dogs this year.
Pep Rally & Bonfire
Friday, September 27, 7:30 p.m.
McDonnell Gymnasium
Parking: A Lot
The pep rally in the McDonnell Gymnasium kicks off the weekend, immediately followed by the traditional lighting of the bonfire. Bagpipers, a spectacular bonfire and cheering on your favorite Rams teams make this event fun for the entire family.
MICDS-JBS Family Friendly & Free Fun Run
Saturday, September 28, 8 a.m.
Begins at JBS, ends at MICDS
The day’s festivities kick off with a 2.5 mile family-friendly walk, run or stroll from JBS to MICDS. All runners, walkers, strollers and dogs are welcome! Dress in your spirit wear and bring the entire family. A complimentary shuttle will pick up from MICDS and bring participants back to JBS. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. Fun Run t-shirts are available at the event on a first come, first served basis.
Old Fashioned Carnival
Saturday, September 28, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. McDonnell Athletic Center (MAC)
Parking: C Lot
Calling all MICDS families! Bring your kids (of any age!) for an entertaining and free event that features games, prizes, face painters, balloon artists and unique inflatables, including an obstacle course, three-lane bungee run and a slide. Enjoy a complimentary BBQ lunch on the north patio of the MAC.
Sporting Events
Saturday, September 28, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
JBS and MICDS Campuses
Throughout the weekend, athletic contests are scheduled against JBS, including the annual football rivalry at 2 p.m. on Saturday. All varsity contests will be played at MICDS and all other games will take place at JBS. Come out and cheer on your Rams!
