2026 PA Spring Luncheon: A Celebration of Gratitude

By Marchand Cox P ’29

The Parents Association’s (PA) Spring Luncheon on April 24 brought MICDS parents and guardians together for a lovely afternoon of connection, celebration, and reflection. With live jazz, great food, and thoughtful moments throughout, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes the MICDS PA so special.

This year’s theme, “Gratitude and Greenery,” was reflected in both the décor and program. Head of School Jay Rainey, PA President Anne Schultz P’25, ’29, and Past President Jen Hogan P’26, ’28 shared reflections highlighting the dedication and collaboration that shaped a successful year.

A highlight of the event was the passing of the torch from Anne Schultz to incoming PA President Meghan Trilling P’26, ’28. Anne was recognized for her leadership and impact, and shared excitement for the year ahead under Meg’s guidance. New Executive Board members were also welcomed, including President-Elect Leah Eggers P’30, ’33.

The luncheon also included a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Jay Rainey, Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning Dr. Sally Maxwell, and Director of Enrollment Management Eric Brunt ’02 for their lasting contributions to the MICDS community.

The PA extends thanks to Middle & Upper School Band Teacher Bernard Berry and The Jazz Ensemble; Spring Luncheon Co-Chairs Shari Schwarzen P’29, ’32 and Kristen Masiel P’29, ’32; and VP of Parent Activities Melissa Swank P’29, ’31 for making it all possible. Thank you to all who attended and helped make it such a meaningful event as the PA wraps up another great year.
