May Day Postponement to Sunday

May Day Postponed to 5/4

In view of the latest forecasts predicting a higher probability of inclement weather tomorrow than the day after, MICDS is postponing this year’s May Day ceremony to Sunday, May 4. We will communicate with you again no later than 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, to share further information about the time and plan for Sunday afternoon's ceremony. We value the May Day tradition at MICDS and regret the uncertainty of this weekend’s weather and any inconvenience it may cause. We appreciate your understanding as we make every effort to hold the ceremony under safe and enjoyable conditions.

6th Grade Advisory “Takes Charge” with Thank You Breakfast

For the first part of the year, sixth grade advisories are “taking charge” in the MICDS community. They’re exploring what the idea means, ways they can execute their ideas and implementing their plans in advisory.

One idea Ms. Long’s advisory came up with was hosting a breakfast for members of our dining staff as a way to thank them for all they do. “The dining staff always serves us lunch,” said Anya Liu ’24. “We wanted to pay them back for their kindness.”
