Remote Learning Day - Wednesday, February 19

Due to hazardous road conditions, MICDS will move to remote learning today, Wednesday, February 19. Middle and Upper School classes will begin at 9:00 a.m., and those students are expected to log in on time and follow their usual late-start class schedule. Links to teacher Zoom pages can be found on their Canvas Announcement pages. Lower School families should look for an email from their child's homeroom teacher with information about possible work for the day. All on-campus activities are canceled, and all parking lots at MICDS will be closed to facilitate snow plows. All after-school activities are canceled with the exception of varsity athletics, which we will communicate about by noon.

Arch City Theater Troupe Benefit Features Five MICDS Students

MICDS students Alex Bush ’15, Mary Chamberlain ’15, Jennifer Goldberg ’19, Ally Kalishman ’21 and Charlie B. Southern ’19 participated in Arch City Theater Troupe’s annual performance to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on August 8 and 9 in Missouri Baptist University’s Pillsbury Theater.

This year’s show, “The Bright Side of Life,” featured songs and dances from popular Broadway plays. Admission was free, and attendees were invited to participate in raffles and a silent auction. This year’s performance raised $25,000 to benefit JDRF’s artificial pancreas project.

Founded in 2005, Arch City Theater Troupe (ACTT) has grown to a cast of 36 kids, ages 8-18, from 20 different St. Louis area schools. ACTT produces, directs, choreographs, and performs shows (without the help of adults) to raise funds for JDRF. They have raised an impressive $152,000 over the past eight years.
