ONE DAY for MICDS, our annual giving challenge that benefits the MICDS Fund, was a spectacular success thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community. In fact, it was the most successful MICDS giving challenge ever, both monetarily and in the number of donors. In the blink of an eye, 641 donors gave over $300,000 to our School, supporting academic engagement, athletics, faculty excellence, fine & performing arts, student financial assistance, and more. Every dollar given benefits our students in the form of dedicated teachers, outstanding resources, and support that extends beyond the walls of each classroom.

This year, MICDS rolled a long-standing “March Madness” style young alumni campaign into ONE DAY, partnering recent graduates with current grades and inspiring support for the generations following in their footsteps. Robust donation challenges and matches garnered more support, multiplying every gift to a higher magnitude. One of the many generous challenges was a trustee sponsoring the “100 Parent Challenge,” unlockingĀ $15,000 when the 100th current parent made a gift on ONE DAY. Two parents sponsored the “Rams Rally Challenge,” offering $20,000 once we reached 400 donors. Other community members stepped forward with creative challenges designed to inspire giving. These connections, symbolic of the many personal relationships that make MICDS so strong, brought together our entire Rams family.

ONE DAY by the numbers:
- Five engaged members of our community stepped up with Challenge and Match opportunities, allowing donors to double (or triple) their impact.
- An anonymous member of the 25th reunion class matched 3-for-1: all class of 2001 donations up to $25,000.
- ONE DAY provided motivated parent participation numbers with spirited competitions among classes. The challenge boosted the third-grade parents to almost 100% total participation.
- Alumni from all generations stepped up and participated.
- Even our dining partners, FLIK, got into the spirit by preparing a special, favorite meal beloved by our students: chicken tenders and tater tots!

ONE DAY was a true community-wide challenge, with parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni grandparents, alumni parents, and friends joining in the fun. We are so grateful to everyone who all came together in support of MICDS. THANK YOU!
