Your Rams Girl’s Golf season opened up today in Collinsville, Illinois with the inaugural Midwest Shootout at Far Oaks, Par 72, with 14 teams vying for trophies and bobble-heads for individuals. Your Rams came in 5th place with a four score total of 357. Leading the way was Senior Co-Captain Shannon Gould, shooting a 75, and earning Co-Medalist along with Allison Bray from Cape Notre Dame, after tying on the 1st playoff hole, #18, a par 5. Both carded birdies and decided the day was long enough and agreed to enjoying the tie for Co-Medalist honors. Cape Notre Dame ran away with the team trophy with a total score of 323. Your Rams were one of three Missouri teams in the top five. Far Oaks played at 6000 yards with many hazards. Senior Co-Captain Mia Shroeder had an 85, Sophomore newcomer from Virginia, Parker Perry, had an 86. Good things to come from her as she finished 2nd at State in Virginia last year as a Freshman. The final score counting was by Senior Stephanie Gabel with a 111. Don’t be upset I put this in the ‘news,’ motivation for tomorrow. Things don’t get any easier tomorrow as we play the Bluffs against Class 2 State Champ St. Joe’s. Let’s go Rams!!
