Early Dismissal Today - December 1, 2025

Due to the inclement weather, MICDS will have an early dismissal of 1:15 p.m. Please make arrangements to pick up your children by 2:30 p.m. All after-school and evening activities are canceled. Upper School: A water main break has closed Entry 6, the northernmost entry onto A Lot. Please use Entry 5 in front of the Bryant Arts Center to pick up your students. Middle School: Carpool will proceed as usual. Middle School siblings of Lower School students will need to be picked up in the Middle School carpool through Entry 1 (C Lot). Lower School: All Lower School students must be picked up in carpool. Students in Grades 2 through 4 will dismiss between 1:15 and 1:35, and students in Grades JK through 1 will dismiss between 1:35 and 1:55. Younger siblings of students in Grades 2 through 4 will be ready in the 1:15 shift.

MICDS Community Provides Input on the Head of School Search Process during Listening Sessions

The search for the next MICDS Head of School is underway! Input from all constituents in the MICDS community is needed and welcomed in the search process. This week, the search consultants from Carney Sandoe & Associates met with students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff to understand what makes MICDS special and the ideal qualities for our next head of school. Thank you to all those who participated.

Please keep an eye out for an email next week from Julie Lilly ‘86, Chair of the Search Committee, with a link to a confidential online survey, which will be administered and aggregated by Carney Sandoe. This is an opportunity for all MICDS community members to anonymously share insights on priorities for MICDS and our next head of school.
