MICDS Hosts New Creation International High Tea

Members of the MICDS community learned about the impact of mindful practice at Saturday’s New Creation International high tea and silent auction.

Organized by Lakshmi Reddy (parent of Rohit ’15 ) and Andrea Brownstein (retired MICDS director of college counseling), the program brought teachers from throughout the St. Louis area to speak about the brain-mindfulness connection and they incorporate it in their classrooms.

Upper School teacher Chris Rappleye was a featured speaker and spoke to how mindful practice can help students not only in the classroom but in their personal lives as well. Ananya Radhakrishnan ’21 shared observations made while visiting several schools in India this past summer.

New Creation International’s mission is to help children become conscious, creative, global citizens through the promotion of practices of integral education.
