Fourth graders participate in activities for adventure night

Nonstop Activity at Fifth Grade Adventure Night

Last Thursday, May 10th, MICDS fifth graders were in for a day and night full of activity and fun at Adventure Night. To begin their adventure, students first set up camp in the South Gym. They were then tasked with the Egg Drop Challenge where they were challenged to build a contraption that would protect an egg if dropped from the MAC atrium. In the afternoon, the adventurers enjoyed lunch and Kona Ice snow cones before continuing the day with three stations of activities: a board game named Escape!, Minute to Win It games and a portable planetarium from the Challenger Learning Center. The evening finished off with pizza, a dance party and some much-needed rest in their very own camp.

The following morning, students began the day with sunrise sessions. They enjoyed creating masterpieces in the art studio, silent reading, kickball and cricket. Those activities rounded out Fifth Grade Adventure Night 2018! Armed with their Adventure Night t-shirts, it’s safe to say that this was an adventure they’ll never forget!
