Students in a teepee for the Native American Indian Museum

Senior Kindergarten Students Create Native American Indian Museum

Senior kindergarten students welcomed parents and Beasley students for tours of their Native American Indian Museum on November 22. The museum exhibits included beautiful works of art and cultural items reflective of Native American tribes. SK students were tour guides, proudly guiding visitors to each exhibit and explaining its history. The museum was the culmination of weeks of study on the culture and customs of the Native American Indian people.

Items on display included symbol books, used to decipher the many languages of the tribes; 3D ceramic Hopi pinch pots, woven rugs, rainsticks, dreamcatchers, drawings of adobe houses and more. Students also shared stories and games with their visitors.
