Perry Dubbed as Prep Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Parker Perry ’20 who has been declared a „Prep Athlete of the Week“ by The St. Louis American. Perry is highlighted for her two postseason championship victories that qualified her for this weekend’s Class 1 state tournament: individual medalist honors at the Class 1 District 2 tournament and the Class 1 Sectional 2 championship. Let’s cheer her on as she heads to State this weekend!
Ray-cing to 1st Place
Julia Ray ’23 was briefly mentioned in this article for leaving her 48 competitors in the dust at the Girls Cross Country Hannibal 5K. She earned a time of 18 minutes and 42 seconds, 52 seconds faster than the second-place runner. Way to go, Julia!
Arjun Puri ’25 was invited to play in an internet chess tournament at the St. Louis Chess Club called „The Knockout Invitational Tournament“ on October 12, National Chess Day. He was invited as one of the most promising chess students. Way to go, Arjun!

Girls Golf Ready for Sectionals
After earning 2nd in the Class 1 District 2 tournament, MICDS Girls Golf is ready to play in the semifinals! For the 7th year in a row, they are striving to make it to State. Read all about it in this West Newsmagazine article. Good luck, Rams!
The team and Parker Perry ’20 were also mentioned in this article for their results at the sectional competition. Perry „was the overall medalist, shooting 77, five strokes over par.“ Way to go, lady Rams!
Tennis Duo Yields Victory
