Student Achievement: Goede ’19, Halford ’18, Kleinlehrer ’22

Bergen Goede ’19 spent three weeks on a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands this summer studying environmental and marine biology and getting her Advanced Diver and Rescue Diver Certifications. She also participated in a sea turtle tagging expedition.

Ella Halford ’18 spent part of her summer interning in the genomics platform at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT in Boston. She learned about and aided in all the different processes of sequencing a genome or an exome, helped the development team work on improving current protocols and created and prepped an animal DNA library to be sequenced.
(*Please accept our apologies, Ella’s class year is incorrect in the Weekly News email article title.)

This past April, Noah Kleinlehrer ’22 donated his Bar Mitzvah gifts to the St. Louis County Library Foundation, raising over $4200 for the foundation. Noah’s generosity was highlighted by the Saint Louis Jewish Light.
