PJ Behan ‘22 Named Athlete of the Week

PJ Behan ’22 was named Athlete of the Week for September 9 by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. PJ caught 12 passes for 274 yards, made five touchdown receptions, and caught a two-point conversion pass to lead the Rams to a 59-52 win at Park Hills Central. Last season, he earned both first team all-conference and first team all-district honors as a wide receiver when he led the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Congratulations, PJ! 

Cristian Ford-Urenda ‘23 & Cole Gipson ‘23 Participate in BESt Healthcare Summer Institute

Congratulations to Cristian Ford-Urenda ’23 and Cole Gipson ’23 for their participation in the BESt Healthcare Summer Institute. The BESt Healthcare Institute is a partnership including Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Express Scripts, and the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) that exposes and prepares talented underrepresented minority high school students for future careers in healthcare. The program focuses on academics, professional development, and exposure to various health care careers. BESt Institute representatives shared, “We salute your commanding academic achievement, remarkable dedication to your studies, and unquenchable thirst for knowledge.” Best wishes on your future endeavors, Cristian and Cole!

Girls Cross Country Achievements

Congratulations to our Girls Cross Country team for their achievements at the Rick Windermere Classic held in Columbus, Indiana, on September 4. Overall the team achieved an outstanding 7th place finish. Several athletes achieved new personal records: Julia Ray ’23 ran 17:52, Riley Noonan ’22 ran 19:51, Grace Coppel ’25 ran 21:25, and Abby Wyckoff ’24 ran 22:20. Way to go, team!

Arjun Puri ‘25 Serves as Tournament Director

Arjun Puri ’25 recently served as the singles and doubles tournament director for the St. Louis Senior Tennis Olympics held at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center on September 5-6. Arjun handled the draws, pairing, referees, and the presentation of medals. Way to serve, Arjun!
