Four Rams Compete at Irish Dance Competition

MICDS had a very strong showing among tough competition in Kansas City at this past weekend’s Irish dance competitions where Rowan Wright ’27, Carrie Clennan ’26, Delaney Janes ’26, and Kate Riley ’26 competed. These Rams are dancers at the Meghan Torno School of Irish Dance.

Rowan competed at the Preliminary Champion (PC) level and achieved two 2nd, one 4th, and one 5th overall placements. Delaney competed at the PC level and earned one 1st and three 2nd overall placements. Delaney and Rowan, with a previous 1st place win, are now halfway to Open Champion, the highest level of Irish dance competition.

Carrie competed at the PC level and achieved two 1st and one 6th overall placements. With her two 1st places, Carrie is now an Open Champion (OC). Kate, a world qualifier OC dancer, competed twice and placed 9th and 10th place overall out of 30 dancers. Well done to all of our Irish dancing Rams for their hard-earned awards!
