He will represent the Midwest NTIS Baseball Team. Tim Canavan, MICDS Varsity Baseball Coach, said, « I was so impressed that Drew made it all the way to Cary, North Carolina, for the USA National Team Identification Series! He was chosen from a pool of thousands of kids across the country. It’s been a lot of fun working with him at our camps and seeing him in the stands at our games. Field Hockey in the News

The MICDS field hockey team was in the news this week in this West Newsmagazine article. Right off the bat, the Rams won their pool of the Gateway Classic which took place on Saturday; all of the games were packed into one day due to the weather. The article quotes Head Field Hockey Coach Lynn Mittler who shared, ‘We warmed up at 8:30 a.m. and lifted the trophy at 10 p.m. I think it was good affirmation of their hard work, but they are also aware that there is an entire season ahead of them.” The Rams had a full, successful day with several players standing out as mentioned in the article. After a 7-0 victory over Kirkwood on Wednesday, the team will be in action this Friday to take on undefeated St. Joseph’s Academy who also won their pool at the Classic.
