Three MICDS Golfers Receive Jay Randolph Achievement Award

Shannon Gould ’18, Drew Lilly ’16 and Abby Schroeder ’16 recently received The Jay Randolph Achievement Award from the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. This award is presented annually to honor the very best youth playing the game of golf in St. Louis. The award is named for legendary PGA Tour and St. Louis radio/television broadcaster Jay Randolph. The awards ceremony took place on April 27, and honorees were photographed with Mr. Randolph and PGA Hall of Fame Inductees Gary Player and Nick Price. Criteria for this award, which is presented to St. Louis area high school or college golfers, include winning a major championship for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and other local organizations. Winners of this award also play competitively in local leagues. Shannon and Abby are key members of the MICDS Girls Golf team that won the state championship in the fall of 2014, and Drew is an integral member of the MICDS Boys Golf team that claimed its second consecutive District Championship last week.
