Parents
At MICDS, parents play a crucial role in the life of our School. With such a welcoming, diverse MICDS parent community, transparent communications, and the vast array of opportunities for getting involved, all parents and guardians are encouraged to be active partners in their child’s education through our School’s vibrant Parent-School Partnership.
A welcome from the PA President.
Greetings, fellow MICDS Parents and Guardians!
As president of the Parents Association (PA), I would like to welcome you to the MICDS PA web page. All parents and guardians with currently enrolled students are members of the Parents Association, and your participation is integral for our continued success.
The PA is all about connection, community, and fun, and there are so many ways for you to be part of it! You can simply come and enjoy our events or roll up your sleeves and help make the magic happen. Join us for inspiring programs through the Passport Series or Parent Education, pitch in at the lively Homecoming Carnival or heartfelt Faculty Appreciation events, lead your class as a Class Chair, or help new families feel at home as a Parent Ambassador. However you choose to get involved, know that your time, talents, and energy make a real difference—and they are always welcomed, valued, appreciated, and supported.
We hope you will join us for our three PA meetings during the school year:
- Fall Parent Welcome & Activities Fair – Wednesday, August 27
- Holiday Gathering – Tuesday, December 2
- Spring Meeting – Wednesday, April 15
I look forward to meeting and getting to know you this coming school year!
Sincerely,
Anne Schultz P’25 & ’29
PA President 2025-26
Transparency
Stay in the loop.
Parents and guardians are given access to technology to follow their child’s progress for added transparency. Teacher blogs, photo sharing, and comments sent electronically keep parents apprised of the day-to-day life of the School. The MICDS portal also provides online access to resources such as calendars, news, and information. Specialized content for members of the MICDS community is password-protected.
"I love that when my daughter walks down the hallway, all the teachers and administrators greet her by name!"
