Camp Pegasus
There’s no better way to dive into summer than by attending Camp Pegasus. Campers explore an array of exciting activities in the arts, sciences, technology, sports, and swimming or water play to ensure their brains and bodies are actively engaged throughout the day. Caring instructors and counselors serve as positive role models and lead the way to fun new experiences! All programs are full-day with lunch included. Before and aftercare options are also available.

The full payment is due for each camper at the time of registration. A camper will not be considered enrolled until payment is received.

Before & Aftercare Options (Grades K-10th):
- Breakfast Club for rising K-10th graders includes breakfast food and activities beginning at 7:30 a.m.
- Aftercare for rising K-10th graders includes an afternoon snack and activity options until 6:00 p.m.
Lunch:
Camper-friendly, healthy hot lunches are provided with salad bar and sandwich options daily. Please alert us to any food allergies or special food needs on your health form.Exceptional Facilities Include:

Campers are invited to explore a vast and playful indoor/outdoor learning environment. Session themes are developed by our team of teachers and experienced early childhood specialists who understand how to create fun and inviting activities for all children. Kids enjoy themed activities, P.E., and swim instruction.
Age: All campers entering Kindergarten and turning 5 by August 1, 2025 are welcome!

What you can expect from our Ponies program:
- Thematic, playful learning indoors and outdoors
- Art, science, and dramatic play centers
- Daily P.E. games and indoor swimming instruction (Note that our indoor aquatics facility allows for a portion of the floor to be raised to accommodate our newest swimmers.)
- Professional teachers and dedicated counselors
- Low staff/child ratio
- Family-style lunch with the Ponies teachers
- Each two-week session includes one afternoon event where parents are invited to come and enjoy activities with their children.
- With smaller groups, space is limited! Special grouping requests are honored whenever possible.

- Trotters (Rising 1st-3rd Graders)
Each day as a Trotters camper includes science, art, maker space, drama, games, sports, and swimming! Swimming lessons are followed by recreational swim time. Themes foster learning and creativity. Parents are invited to a special event on the last day of each session. Special group requests are honored whenever possible.
Age: All campers entering 1st-3rd grade are welcome!

Coursers choose from a wide variety of engaging activities (arts, sciences, hobbies, etc.) and a range of sports (soccer, swimming, yoga, and more) to build a personal schedule that matches their individual interests.

Coursers rank their activity and sports choices on the registration form. Campers attending more than one session may sign up for the same courses in multiple sessions but are encouraged to try new things.

Sign up with a friend and select some activities in common. Early enrollment increases your chances of getting your activity preferences and friend requests.Important Note:

Campers choose two and give two alternative choices.
- Aerodynamics and Flight (AF) – Build and fly all kinds of small aircrafts.
- Cooking (CO) – Fun with food. Mix and cook up a variety of recipes.
- Critter Care (CC) – The care and keeping of domestic animals. What everyone needs to know.
- Incredible Crafts (IC) – Art that goes beyond paper and paint. Cool and creative!
- Lego Dojo (LD) – Build, create, solve challenges, and explore basic robotics.
- Makerspace (MS) – Creativity and curiosity welcome here. What can you make?
- Rockets (RO) – Build, design, and launch solid fuel model rockets.
- Science (SC) – Scientific principles at play! Explosions, dissecting frogs, and more.
- Silversmithing (SS) – Metals, beads, and design techniques. Make impressive gifts.
- Strategy Gameroom (GR) – Chess, Battleship, Stratego, etc. Build your strategy.
- Survivor (SU) – Orienteering, foraging, tool-making, fishing, rock climbing.
- Theater (TH) – Follow your muse and perform live on a professional stage.
- 3D Ceramics (3D) – Hands-on art in our ceramics studio.
- Video Game Creation (VG) – Create professional-looking video games. (Campers must have access to a parent-approved email account and password)
- Video Production (VP) – Take part in the making of a Pegasus classic movie.
- Woodworking (WW) – Learn the tools for making whimsical wooden creations.

- Archery (AR) – Take aim with bow and arrows as well as hand-held slingshots.
- Backyard Games (BG) – Keep active! Fun and challenging group P.E. games.
- Basketball (BB) – Take it to the hoop on our air-conditioned courts.
- Cheerleading (CH) – Catch the spirit! Learn cheers, jumps, and stunts.
- Dance (DA) – Learn full dance routines and perform for a live audience.
- Fencing (FN) – En garde! Train like an Olympian. Strategy, footwork, and bladework.
- Field Hockey (FH) – Learn the basics of this competitive, fast-paced sport.
- Flag Football (FF) – Non-contact version of this American classic.
- Pickleball (PB) – Combines tennis, badminton, and table tennis on a smaller court and lower net.
- Soccer (SO) – Enjoy energetic scrimmages and a variety of soccer-related games.
- Softball/Baseball (SB) – Boys and girls of summer are back for America’s pastime!
- Sport Sampler (SS) – Try it out by playing a different sport every day. Find your passion. (This includes Golf (putting and chipping), BB, FF, SO, PB, SB, & FH)
- Swimming (SW) – The perfect way to hone your skills and cool off. Daily lessons followed by plenty of time for recreational swimming in our amazing indoor aquatics center.
- Yoga and Mindfulness (YM) – Develop healthy mind and body techniques through yoga, movement, and reflective activities.
- Summer Stock (Rising 7th-10th Graders)
MICDS Summer Stock Theater is a specialized program focused on theatre (acting skills, production assistance, and performance). The program is open to new and experienced actors and tech crew. We welcome campers who are interested solely in the technical sides of the theater. All campers wishing to act are given a role.
Age: Campers entering 7th-10th grades are welcome!

- Summer Stock Cost: $775 (includes lunch)
- Breakfast Club: $300 per three-week session (Available for those entering 7th-10th grade.)*
- Aftercare cost: $450 per three-week session (Available for those entering 7th-10th grade.)*

What to expect from the Summer Stock programs:
- New and experienced actors and those interested in tech/crew
- Non-musical, live evening performance
- All campers wishing to act will be given a role
- Professional director in a state-of-the-art theater setting
- Workshops explore various aspects of acting and theater production
- Master classes in various aspects of theatre
Work with an experienced director to build a non-musical production in our professional theater facilities. Daily acting workshops will challenge you to stretch your imagination, build your performance skills, and collaborate with your fellow actors. There are two performances on the final day of camp: a dress rehearsal for a live audience of Pegasus campers and other guests, and an evening performance for family and friends.
All campers wishing to act in the final production are guaranteed a role. Casting decisions are made by our director and may include auditioning. Campers will learn auditioning techniques early in the session.
- Youth Leadership Institute (Rising 7th-10th Graders)
We’re kicking off a brand-new year of the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI), and this one is bigger, bolder, and built with our students in mind!
This summer, rising 7th–10th graders will take the lead in shaping their own YLI experience. From choosing dynamic focus areas to earning real-world certifications, students will design a program that matches their passions and goals.
Each week brings a new mix of hands-on challenges, inspiring speakers, creative projects, and leadership adventures that build confidence, collaboration, and purpose. Whether students want to level up their academic skills, explore new career paths, or make an impact in their community, YLI is here to help them make this summer their best one yet.

- Payment can be made via credit card or an electronic funds transfer e-check/ACH payment.

- Refunds are available through May 15, 2026 minus a $50 fee per session, per child.
- Beginning May 16, there are no refunds.

For Parents of Non-MICDS Pegasus Students:
Pegasus medical policies and forms will be managed through Magnus Health, MICDS’ integrated health management platform. In late spring, you will receive an automated login email to access the MICDS Magnus Health Portal. Please note that your child may not attend Pegasus until you have met all medical form requirements.
For Parents of Pegasus Students Currently Attending or New to MICDS in 2026-2027:
No additional medical policies or forms are required other than what is assigned for next school year already.

- Pegasus Staff
Pegasus takes pride in its dedicated, award-winning teaching staff who are talented and caring professional educators and coaches as well as artists. In addition, we carefully select high school and college students as counselors based on their experience, talents, and positive energy with kids. We work closely with our teachers and counselors to build an inviting environment where children are encouraged to engage in new and fun experiences. Our staff is committed to maintaining high safety standards at all times.
- Camp Nurse
Our staff nurse provides care to our campers during the regular camp day and assists with training our staff. Our nursing staff welcomes your questions. Please contact the nurse early in the enrollment process to make arrangements for handling any special medical conditions and/or the distribution of medication during the camp day. Please have all health-related forms turned in by May 23. If your child will need to take any form of medication at camp, please read our Medication Policy and complete the Medication Authorization Form to be turned in by May 23.

ATTENTION: ALL new counselors for Pegasus will need to be available for training and orientation during the week prior to the start of camp. All teachers must attend the training meeting on Friday, June 12.
Availability for the entire 7 weeks is not a must. However, we require that you communicate any conflicts accurately and promptly as you become aware of them. Please note: background checks and reference checks need to be completed prior to becoming an employee.
Our first deadline for applications is February 6, but we continue to accept and review applications after that date. We aim to have all positions filled by early April. However, changes in enrollment or staff availability can lead to additional hiring throughout the Spring.

A limited number of these positions are open each year to students who are completing 9th grade prior to the start of camp. Associate Counselors are paid employees who serve to assist in our camp office and anywhere that campers and staff can be found. Our Teachers are professional educators, expert artisans, coaches, or instructors who demonstrate a philosophical and practical approach to working with young people that aligns with our program.Supervisors
