Stay active this summer at one of our high-energy Rams Sports Camps! Athletes train closely with our top-notch MICDS coaches and some of our 350 student-athletes. Campers focus on developing skills and improving technique. All sports camps train in MICDS’ state-of-the-art athletic facilities for an even greater competitive edge. Rams Sports Camps offer a program for every athlete and give campers a taste of what it is like to play for #RamNation.
Camps are designed to provide the best possible instruction to help develop each individual’s skills and knowledge of the sport. Each camper will receive instruction on how to play the game and how to improve themselves both on and off the field.
* Rams Sports Camps are run independently by coaches and not by MICDS.
* Please be advised that we’ll be following all CDC and St. Louis County Department of Public Health guidelines regarding COVID-19 in place at the time of summer camps.

- Boys Baseball 2021
Junior Boys Baseball Camp
- Who: Rising 1st-5th grade boys
- Dates: June 21-24 (Make up date in case of rain: June 25)
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Junior Boys Baseball Camp – Skills & Fundamentals:
This camp will focus on the fundamental game of baseball. We will set a tempo to ensure each athlete has the opportunity to display their athleticism while learning and growing their knowledge and confidence in the game.
Each camper should bring their own glove, helmet, and bat. If you do not have any of these items, please do not go out and make a purchase. We will have equipment to lend our campers. Each camper will also need to bring a water bottle.

- Who: Rising 2nd-8th graders
- Dates: June 7-11, June 21-25 or July 12-16
- Times: Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Location: McDonnell Gymnasium (North Gym)
- Cost: $205/week
Basketball Camp is a great opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of basketball and have fun while competing with players from around the St. Louis area.
Campers will be divided by age and skill over the course of the week. Fundamentals will be stressed daily with an emphasis on dribbling, passing, and shooting. All campers will participate in daily contests and games culminating in Finals Friday.
There will be a supervised lunch/rest break 12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch is NOT provided, though we will have a camp concession stand with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, Gatorade, and bottled water.

- Girls Basketball 2021
- Who: Rising 3rd-8th graders
- Dates: June 14-18
- Times: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
- Location: McDonnell Gymnasium (North Gym)
- Cost: $205
Camp Objectives – We want the young players to:
- Improve their basketball-specific skills
- Develop good practice habits
- Learn more about the game
- Work and play with others
- Have fun while playing hard
Campers will work on fundamentals such as shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, and team play; they will also participate in full court games, tournament play, and contests.
There will be a supervised lunch/rest break 12:00-1:00 p.m. Lunch is NOT provided, though we will have a camp concession stand with hot dogs, hamburgers, snacks, Gatorade, and bottled water.
Camp Supervisors: The staff will be comprised of current/former MICDS players and coaches as well as other area players and coaches, including current/former collegiate athletes.

- Dance Camp 2021
Dance Camp
- Who: Rising 5th-8th Grade
- Date: June 7-11 (M-F)
- Time: 9:30-11:30 a.m.
- Location: Orthwein Theater
- Cost: $150
This camp will focus on Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary dance for rising 5th-8th grade students. Camp will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Monday-Friday. Students will learn technique with a special focus on turns and leaps. Students will also learn a dance throughout the week to be showcased on the final day of camp. No dance experience? No problem! This camp is geared toward beginning to intermediate dancers.

- Field Hockey 2021
- Who: Rising 5th-8th graders
- Dates: June 7-10 (Monday – Thursday)
- Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Champ Camp was founded in 1975 by National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame Coach Debby Watson and has been providing excellent training and lasting memories ever since. The camp is structured on the principles of instruction and play offering players a great opportunity to be coached by top high school coaches and current college players. A mix of technical training and scrimmaging allows players to learn and try out their new skills. Utilizing the field dedicated for the exclusive use of women’s field hockey and lacrosse, campers train on field turf to facilitate the speed of skill execution.
Please bring: field hockey approved protective eyewear, water bottle, mouth guard, shin guards, sunscreen, stick (additional sticks will be available for use during camp) and turf or tennis shoes only (no cleats).

2021 Rise Above Football Camp
- Who: Rising K-8th Graders
- Date: June 14-17 (Monday-Thursday)
- Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: McCreery Field/O’Hara Field on MICDS Campus
- Cost: $160
Description of Camp: The Rise Above Football Camp is a non-padded Youth Football Camp with a focus on instructing the individual of specific fundamentals of football, position-specific training, and how it is integrated into limited-contact 7 on 7 and team play. The Rise Above Football Camp offers youngsters in grades K-8 a great opportunity to be coached by one of the top high school coaching staffs in the state, Hall of Fame Coach(es) along with past and current MICDS players. The student-athletes will be separated by age and ability to create positive learning settings for each camper. A mix of technical training and scrimmaging allows players to learn and apply new skills. The campers will train on field turf to facilitate the speed of skill execution. The objective of the Rise Above Football Camp is to provide excellent training for each participant.
Please bring: A mouthguard, water bottle, sunscreen, and tennis shoes or cleats for the O’Hara/Holtman game field or McCreery practice field.

Camp focuses on the introduction and reinforcement of the basics as well as strengthening abilities in advanced play. Typical days involve warm-ups, demos, match play and instruction. Training includes grips and drops, swing mechanics, court movements, and more. Players can sign up for one or both camps.
Please bring: protective eyewear, appropriate court shoes (non-marking), squash racquet and water bottle. We have extra equipment (shoes, racquets and goggles) for players to borrow during camp.
Information on Upper School Squash Camp: Squash camp is great for those who want to improve their technique or simply explore a new sport. Camp focuses on the introduction and reinforcement of the basics as well as strengthening abilities in advanced play. Typical days involve warm-ups, demos, match play, and instruction. Training includes grips and drops, swing mechanics, court movements, and more.
Please bring: protective eyewear, appropriate court shoes (non-marking), squash racquet, and water bottle. We have extra equipment (shoes, racquets, and goggles) for players to borrow during camp.

- Boys & Girls Tennis 2021
2021 High-Performance Tennis Camp at MICDS
Coaches Cameron Thomas, Patrick Huewe, and Carl Walker have combined coaching experience of more than 60 years and are USPTA or USPTR certified. Coach Huewe is a former college Division 1 tennis player and has led MICDS tennis teams to several State Championships. Coach Thomas is also a former college tennis player and a Division 1 college coach, and he has coached State Champions, National and Professional Players, and is on the coaching staff at MICDS. Coach Walker is a graduate of the tennis teaching program at Tyler Texas. He has coached college and high school tennis along with coaching State Champions as well as National and Professional Players.

- Dates: June 1 through August 5
- Times: Mondays-Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Make up date in case of rain: Friday)
- Location: MICDS Tennis Courts
The cost for each 3-week session is $1,050 and sessions are as follows:
- Session 1: June 1 – June 17
- Session 2: June 21 – July 8
- Session 3: July 12 – July 29
- Session 4: August 2-5 *one week fee
Students also have the option to attend by the week. Cost per week is $350 and the weeks are as follows:

Things to bring: Water bottle, sunscreen, large towel, snack and lunch, hat or visor, notebook, jump rope, a great attitude, mask, and hand sanitizer.

- The full payment is due for each camper upon enrollment. Payment can be made via credit card, check, or an electronic funds transfer (e-check).
- Checks should be made out to MICDS and mailed to:

- Refunds are available through April 2021 minus a $25 service fee.
- During May, a $50 fee per session per child is applied to refunds.
- Beginning June 1, there are no refunds.
