May Day Weather Planning

We are monitoring the weather forecast for this weekend very closely. To give you as much advance notice as possible, we will share a decision here about whether May Day will be held on Saturday or Sunday by Friday, May 2, at 2 p.m. In the event that May Day is postponed, it will be held on Sunday, May 4, at 5 p.m. We look forward to celebrating the May Day participants in the Class of 2025.

Rams Compete in MSHSAA Virtual District Solo/Ensemble Festival

Ten MICDS vocal and instrumental students participated in the MSHSAA Virtual District Solo/Ensemble Festival held during the month of March. Students recorded one or two pieces which were shared with an adjudicator who provided written comments and critique on areas such as intonation, tone quality, articulation, dynamics, and interpretation/style.

Each performer was assigned an overall rating of Gold-Exemplary, Silver-Outstanding, or Bronze-Satisfactory.

The MICDS vocal music students are under the direction of Upper School Performing Arts Teacher Dana Self. Band students are under the direction of Middle & Upper School Performing Arts Teacher Becky Long and Middle & Upper School Instrumental Music Instructor Joshua Baumgartner.
